Finger Lakes Trail
The Finger Lakes Trail is a dog-friendly route from the Pennsylvania-New York border in Allegany State Park to the Catskill Forest Preserve. The longest continuous hiking trail in New York State, this trail stretches across 549 miles to the eastern terminus at the junction of the Long Path, and 950 miles to the summit of Slide Mountain. For visitors who find themselves in the Finger Lakes Region, the Erie Canal corridor, or just about anywhere in the Allegheny, Genessee, Susquehannah, or Delaware River watersheds, the Finger Lakes Trail is close by. Take Fido on a short day-hike, a weekend campout, or a multi-day backpacking trip.
