Bonaventure Don

Experience a new perspective on the most famous cemetery in the Savannah area. Bonaventure Don guides visitors on a dog-friendly tour of Bonaventure Cemetery in Thunderbolt, GA. The tour guide, Don Teuton, was previously the vice chairman of the Bonaventure Historical Society. His parents, grandparents and great-grandparents are buried in the grounds and he will one day join them. Leashed dogs are welcome on this unique tour. Visit Website

Excellent!
Bonaventure Don's tour was steeped in local history set at the graves of the people whose stories he tells. Very educational & enjoyable. He is a board member of the Bonaventure Cemetery Historical Society, & his stories are factual. Don was great with our dog Bruester. After asking permission, Don gave him treats once in a while during the tour. This kept Bruester's attention🙂. I would recommend Bonaventure Don to anyone wanting to learn Savanah history. With or without a dog!

Don is a great tour guide!
This is a great tour! Don has a wealth of knowledge about all things Savannah, Bonaventure and the people that are part of our history. He weaves stories together so well that you will feel like you know the inhabitants of Bonaventure; and you will also understand more about the other places you visit in Savannah too. Go for it!
