Kaukauna Dog Park

There is a fenced-in small dog area, a very large fenced-in area for all dogs and a fenced-in pond where dogs can swim. Love this park!

Small dog section, big dog section as well as a separate section with a pond. Great in spring season when it starts to warm up for dogs who like to swim, but the pond starts to get nasty in the summer seasons.

    Best Park Ever!

This park looks small when you pull up, but it is massive. We see why it won awards! The fenced in pond and bridges really made my husky think she was hunting. The large dog section was huge with two gates into the pond area. This is worth a stop when headed North. Our dogs loved it!

    Nice Park

It’s a nice park some of the owners are nice and others are pretty nasty, don’t bring your pet to an off-leash park if you don’t want other dogs near yours or chasing your ball, watched an older gentlemen get upset and yell at quite a few people simply for having dogs around his or walking to the bin get poop bags while their dog was pottying? The pond is separated by gates so don’t let your dog by the pond if it’s not up to your standards. I would steer clear of it late summer early fall especially due to toxic algae that’s been found locally, but early spring it was fine. The pavilion is nice and picnic tables and benches are available.

    yucky pond

Very nice play areas with good shade trees and pavilion. Only 4 because the pond was quite yucky and I would not let my dog swim in it.

    Best Park Around

The Kaukauna Dog Park, in my opinion, is the best dog park within at least a 50 mile radius. It has several features that make this a 5: open year round, the swimming pond, well lit, open at night, VERY well kept up and very clean. Being open year-round is a MUST for a dog park in Wisconsin - dogs do not stop needing exercise, and people do not stop needing socialization, in the winter (this also goes for after dark, not everyone works 8:00-5:00!). That is where some of the other dog parks around here totally lack. Thank you to the City of Kaukauna for this wonderful park!

    Very Dirty Water

I agree with some other reviewers, the pond is just too nasty. My dog had to check the water out, and came out covered in darn brown sludge! The walk around the pond is nice, but there are areas with really high plants and it was easy to quickly lose sight of your pup in them. The other area is a basic, large, grassy play yard, but its kept very clean, as is the area around the pond. I think I'll stick to our Green Bay dog park...it has a nice, clean creek at the park (in the leash on area), and I think thats a better bet for us.

    Dirty Pond

Went to the park because its one of the few that had a fenced in swimming area. Unfortunately it is way too dirty and nasty to allow the puppies to swim. If the pond can be cleaned up and restructured to allow easier access to clean water, it would be a great park. At this point the one down the road in Little Chute is much better

    Nice Park

Kaukauna has a nice park. One section is an open area with an attatched small dog area. The next section has a pond and bridges to cross over. I would rate you a 5, but that Pond, its gets nasty fast. My dogs smelled like rotton fish and had this goo all over them. Its a great idea, but since the pond is so still, is there any way of getting some airation in there?

    It is worth the Drive

I currently live in Madison WI but was living in Green while this dog park was being built. It was a great pleasure watching it come together within the community. Now I drive 2 hours just so my Smokey can come to swim. It's the only place I know of where the water area is enclosed and she can swim off-leash.. Her enjoyment is so worth the drive. We look forward to seeing what other changes will happen. Thank you everyone that worked so hard to make it such a wonderful place to bring our 4-legged family members so they can have fun.
