    Nice Smaller Park

Peterson Park dog park is a nice smaller place. Our large dog enjoyed it although he was the only big dog at the time. We didn’t stay long since there was no one to play with.

    Dog Park

This Dog Park is way too small.
Lady J mentioned another dog park in Menifee which is pretty good, 5 times the size of the one at Murrieta/Newport. Its located across Freedom Crest Elementary School, in an area that is known as Menifee Greens, right beside the golf course. No seperate small / big dog areas though, all the dogs are together, never heard of any problems.

    Small but fun

I have taken my Border Collie there a few times now, she loves it. It is small, but that fits my dog and I's needs. The people are nice and they do keep an eye on their dogs. There are two pens, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Both pens have water fountains and a few agility items (a tire type jump, a regular hurdle, and a makeshift chute or tunnel) Very clean and they do provide stocked doggie bag holders. There is a tree for shade and a picnic table for the owners to sit. I will be returning with my dog, she loves it!

    Off-Leash Dog Park

Have not been to the Menifee Dog Park as of yet, however there is one that is not mentioned on the map. If you tak 215 South, exit Newport, take a left to Menifee and make another left. This is a closed in area which was originally set up as a baseball field. For whatever reason, it is not beng used for that purpose anymore. It is all closed in and set up for dogs to run free. I have only been there a handful of times, however everyone seems to keep an eye on their pets and there have not been any problems yet. There is also an open park in the same parking lot if you have kids that want to play.

    peterson park

first visit today. i give it a three for being small and no grass for the dogs to run / roll around on. I did like that people "supervised" their dogs and were not just sitting around reading newspapers, texting, chatting, etc. A place I'd go back to but not often since it's about a 15 minute drive from home.
