    Needs updated

Mentor city has a lot of potential but lacks a lot for the animal community. This dog park sits under the electrical lines near the train tracks. That’s the first negative, second, it’s muddy, dreary (no lights at night). And people have no courtesy using the park. They can do so much more.

    Nice Little Park

My puppy loves coming here. We only come on nice days so no problems with flooding. For the most part all dogs are nice. There are 2 sides so dogs and lots of room to run.

    flood zone

I know that cities don’t have to provide such amenities for our pets and thank you for that... BUT come on people ya can do better than this.. 1/2 the park was flooded when I was there so I left. Not about to take my small dog into the large dog side. Crappy dog park!

    Not bad

I go here whenever I'm in town with my puppy. It's good for socializing, both dogs and humans. It's empty a lot of times, but around lunch, and the evening rush hour, there's lots of dogs. Some of them don't belong at the park, but in general, it's not a bad dog park. That's why we keep coming back :)

    Good park

The rules are posted for liability, probably. My pup and I go almost everyday. Great bunch at the 12:30am ish hour. I agree does need drainage, other than that, it's great. It is mostly grass with chips around the more heavily used areas. Has picnic tables, pavillions, seperate large and small dog areas. Has water for dogs and humans, you can throw balls, frisbees, sticks ect. My only issue is with the owners who do not pick up their dogs do-do and don't pay attention to what their dog is doing or just don't care.

    The rules are stupid

It's a park, of course the dogs are going to run. I think those rules are posted for liability reasons. Great group of dogs and people go most days around 12 noon. Wish there was a better drainage system though. It can get pretty sloppy.

Some Dogs Need to Stay Home

The space was recently expanded so there is a lot of room for the dogs to run. My biggest issue is that some dogs should simply not be there (not well-socialized) and that dog owners need to control their dogs or leave if the dogs are causing problems. When there is a group of well-socialized dogs at the park, though, it is a great place to be!

    too many rules

This is not a fun park for dogs. Rules state NO running, NO throwing of toys, NO ruff housing, NO having any type of fun. They use wood chips, no grass, NO fun. Rules written by a nun.
