$3/car entry fee for daily use, dogs must remain on-leash. Park has a 2.5 mile trail around the lake, as of Sep 09 the western portion is closed. However, approx 1.5 miles of trail is still available starting on the eastern side (begins at east boat ramp). We did not see any other dogs or hikers on the day we visited, trail was slightly overgrown but easy to follow. There is a water spigot by the east side picnic area, plenty of bathrooms throughout park and showers available at west side camping area. Not sure if dogs are allowed to swim at the beach areas; boat ramp had warning signs for alligators so use caution in other areas of the lake.
