- JohnMore than a year agoGreat for hikes with my pup
Although some have given 2 stars because of poor marking, I absolutely love taking our Vizsla pup, Larry (yup, Larry) there he can go off leash and enjoy all there is to see and smell! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good local place to hike with their dog!

need more signage. On a gray day it is easy to lose the directions.

We got to the trail. Trash was everywhere and a lot of graffiti. No markers along the trails. Will not be coming back

Trails are not well maintained, can confuse even the experienced day hiker. Trail markers are not consistent. Rear entrance and trails off Mulpus Road offer better hiking than off Mass Ave. Historic sites (i.e. Thoreau's Hut) are not marked. Volunteers maintaining trails try but maintenance is too much w/o an effective Town Conservation Commission.

Great area to run your dog safely. Most who go also run off leash, creek for swimming is great either before or after. Watch out for ticks, this place is loaded, so come prepared with proper spray/drops etc. This is were your dog and truly be a dog and be safe doing it.

The entrance is on Mass Ave about 3/10 of a mile from the intersection of Mass Ave and Elmwood Rd.
It was nice. Clean and the dogs enjoyed it. We will be adding it to our list of places to exercise the dogs.

Great Trails for the whole family, nice and clean very dog friendly.
- ChrisMore than a year agogreat place for romping and swimming!
My dog loves this place (and I do too!) There are a couple of loop trails throughout with beautiful views or walking alongside the river. Walking the full perimeter trail (on both sides) takes about 1 hour. During springtime and after big rains, the riverside trail gets a little wet. So, during that time or if your pooch likes to swim, you might want to bring a towel!
