The pictures of Mustang Park need to be updated so I'll try to get some because the pictures in here don't do it justice.

My dogs love going to this dog park. It was just recently split to have separate sections for large and small dogs. They added some hills and tunnels to add to the variety. The sticker problem used to be really bad, but I have not had any problems lately. My only complaint would be that there aren't more dogs there. Water faucets were out of order the last time I went, so bring your own water.

What a Great Park! Came in from out of town, staying in OKC...it was worth the drive! Stickers...yes a few, but not many and they are hard to get rid of ...obviously they are working hard at getting them gone. It's all a process ...given a little more time for grass to fill in and if everyone pitches in to help ... it will rank as one of the best! we spent quite a few hours ther enjoying the agility course, the water pool, seating, shade and spacious area! They even have Port-a-Potties! I left some play balls in the toy crates and hope others will "take a toy" too! There was a lady at the shelter next to the park that was sooo helpful and kind...she even took care of me on her lunch break! If you need another dog have fun with at the park go see her! The suggestions I have is maybe another couple picnic tables or benches (but they're not done yet and there are bleachers) and for those visiting to pick up their cigarette butts...they are not good for dogs to ingest. Next time I'm up here will definitely come again! Oh...and the lake with the walking track!...AWESOME!

We are working to make improvements to the dog park, including getting rid of stickers. It takes a while to get stickers under control. Adding Play area, hope to add fencing soon. Re opening event on May 16, with fun run, dog events, and vendors. - MarleyMore than a year agotoo many stickers
I have been up there 2 times. Each time my dog got stickers. It needs to be taken care of better. It only has part of an agilty course. But, right by the table u can play frisbee if you throw close to where u enter at.

Today was the first time we ever visited Mustang's dog park. We only stayed about 5 minutes, because the first run out of the gate, both our dogs got goatheads/sandburs in their paws! There was one other person there with her dog, and she said the stickers got spread around when the city mowed. I won't go back there until I hear they've gotten rid of their sticky problem!
Other than that, the dog park is fairly good size, has some nice big trees for shade in the summer, and a really high fence. There is also some agility equipment (I remember seeing a catwalk) but we weren't there long enough to inspect it. I didn't see if there was a water hydrant, and there was not a fenced in area for smaller dogs. It could be a really nice dog park if the city or volunteers are willing to get rid of the stickers.
