disregard any of the historic complaints folks posted here. We take a bird dog there to cut loose and he loves it. it’s been completely renovated and no more gravel, has a nice covered seat to watch your dog from, huge and open, separate areas for big and small dogs, and there’s still the nice time out area and an agility bridge. Good spot to let a high energy dog blow off some steam.

Its a good park, not much parking and the gravel is hard for people and dogs to walk on. I do like that they have it separated for small and large dogs and there are “time-out” spots on each side. Overall, me and my dogs like this park and I’m glad its here because its the inly dog park in Jackson. I have not had any issue getting into it at any time of the day, I’m not sure if its actually closed at night but there are no lights so I wouldn’t want to go at night.

I was excited to see that Jackson had a dog park. BUT then I saw it was closed on Sun and Mondays and only open the other days from 12-6. Ridiculous!!! It's a park for dogs, why is it closed 2 days a week? Why are the hours so short? What are people supposed to do after work? Come on Jackson catch up to the rest of the world!!!

It's a decent park! The pea gravel isn't exactly easy for either you or the dogs to walk on, and it is barren there. No toys or grass or anything for them to do, so I suggest you bring at least one more dog so they can chase each other, since it really is just about all there for them to do. They do have water spouts that work 50/50% of the time, so I always bring a gallon of water just on case. It definitely isn't the best, but it works if your dogs just need a quick run or get together. 😊 There is a two dog limit, and even though it is free, you need to sign up inside the Cascades Building right next to it. Your dogs must be UTD on shots.

Took my Lab mix to this park and he enjoyed himself. Gravel & peastone didn't seem to be an issue and there is shade over the benches. Will definately bring him back to play again

My husband and I have taken our dogs there since it opened. The pea gravel can be a little hard in some dogs feet that maybe have a sensitivity to it but our dogs have never had a problem with it. There are awnings that were built a few years back to provide shade.and nice benches to sit on. The large dog area has an agility course for anyone to use and there is fresh water available. All in all, a nice place to take your dog for a stretch.

Pea stone, no shade, nothing fun. I tried taking my dog there and she looked so painful walking on the pea stone that I couldn't torture her by staying there. It's run down, unkept. Broken "toys." which doesn't matter because there is no way a dog can run and have fun on the HOT pea stone. Cascades should be ashamed of themselves for this. UNFIT for a dog! Putting any dog out there should be considered abuse! Seriously!!! HOT PEA STONE?! My dog looked like she was full of arthritis trying to walk and she definitely looked in pain. Now I have to check her feet for sores! She probably has burns! Where does a humane society that preaches responsible pet care and ownership get off with such an unfit park?! I hope those poor dogs stuck there aren't forced to walk around there. And no shade! Heat exhaustion risk!
