NOT a dog park
Northam is a nice community park, but it is NOT a dog park, has no enclosed area for dogs, and is HEAVILY used by children's sports teams. It's fine for walking a dog on-leash, but even during the hours when off-leash play is allowed, it is NOT friendly to dogs overall. The sports team's fans leave a lot of trash around for dogs to get into. Dog owners are criticized for not picking up after their dogs (correctly), but no one seems to care about the trash left by the sports parents.
