    Convenient Location

Great dog park for my Vizsla! She loved all the open space to run and the trees and paths to be pointing birds and anything else that moved. Easy on and off 94 for us as we were passing through. Little tricky to locate as address is slightly off. Take a right on Palmer Ave and another right across bridge, dog park is on left.

    Nice Park

When driving thru on I94, this is a convenient and pleasant place to stretch our legs. I like the opportunity to run off Leash!,

    trouble in doggy paradise

My dogs love, love coming to the palmer park dog exercise area since puppies. One major problem I have consistently encountered is, more than half of the other dog owners loath pit-bulls, and immediately consider them dangerous beasts. And Yes Bill, sometimes even at this dog park big Dogs that jump, run and play with and on each other are not liked. I wish other dog owners would be patient and more tolerant of other peoples dogs, every single dog is unique and special, I learned this by owning a pit bull and rescuing other dogs, like a hairless min pin.

    Need a fence!

I have two large and energetic dogs! We would prefer more fencing, however we have fewer problems with other dogs/ owners!
Avoid Paw Print Park! Large Dogs are not welcome especially if they like running and playing!
They allow the small breeds into the Large breeds area and in several occasions the owners get upset because lil Precious got rolled over !

    Very Wild Area

We often took our previous dog, Misha, to this area as Paw Print Park had not been developed yet. Once you get into the trails, you are far enough away from traffic that you really don't need to worry about it not being fenced. It is very wild with plenty of trees and a small rivier running through it. Be aware that because of the wild nature of this park burrs and ticks are a major concern---be sure to check your dog thouroughly when you get home!
