    Adobe Park itself

The Adobe park is great. A lot of trails to hike, and dp3g friendly.

Try To Find Another Park If You Can!

My husband and I have brought our pup here since he was 5 months old (he’s 2 now). It was the only park we knew about close to our home. Since moving to a different city and seeing other dog parks, this one is pretty bad. The park itself is a decent size but you need to pay to park to access it or buy a monthly pass (which we ended up doing). The bark is rough on our boy’s paws and when it rains there’s so much mud! The surrounding area is beautiful, we love going on small hikes up the hills

Beware! Aggressive owners frequent this park.!

DOG OWNERS BEWARE! There are two regulars, a small man and a rather large woman with two AGGRESSIVE, UNUETERED, male dogs. DO NOT ENTER THE PARK WHILE THEY ARE PRESENT! They do not stop their dogs Blackie and Junior from their aggressive antics, and they themselves will turn aggressive if you try to stop the dogs yourself. I witnessed both owners have a melt down after a guy had to rescue his female dog from Junior. He pulled Junior off his dog BY THE HARNESS! HE DID NOT HARM THE DOG! HE WAS SAVING HIS OWN PUP. And these people, who by the way were previously rooted to their spot, instantly jumped up and started shouting profanities and threatening his and his dogs life.

IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR DOGS SAFTY DO NOT ENTER THE PARK WHILE THEY ARE PRESENT!

They sit at the table next to the watering station closest to the parking lot entrance. You can also identify them by their useless shoting of their dogs names. Their dogs are totally untrained. I doubt they even know their names, since they don't even glance in the owners direction when shouted at. Blackie and Junior are both black medium sized dogs.

Otherwise fantastic park. Love it here.

    too small

The place is way too small. I have small/medium size dog that likes to run and burn off a lot of energy, which he can't do in this place. I'm sick of these tiny little fenced in areas. What the hell is wrong with allowing dogs off leash outside of this cramped enclosure? I can't stand these stupid strict leash laws and these crappy hole in the wall places were supposed to call a dog park! Vacaville lacks any real options for dog owners other than this crappy little place. It's ridiculous! I hate the place.

    Eh

The actual dog park itself if not great. Blah. But drive or walk a ways down the road and you'll find fields, water and paths that you shouldn't "technically" have them off-leash, but when no ones around, who cares?! We went to the Frisbee-Golf field, that was completely vacant and she chased her ball, jumped in the water and was loving life!!!

    Beware

We have tried this dog park three times and every time have encountered rude people and aggressive dogs. There is no oversight here for responsible dog owners. The half a dozen irresponsible dog owners simply turn their backs on whatever havoc their dogs are doing - malamutes, cattle dogs, pit bulls are allowed to run and attack your dog, and you won't even know who the owner is because they are ignoring it all. Without exception, everyone we've talked to - other folks in our dog obedience classes, veterinarians, and dog trainers have all either had bad experiences there or advise us to use out of town dog parks if we want safety and enjoyment for our pets. The city of Vacaville ought to wise up. Furthermore, the bark is very hard on the dogs' paws, and the fence is not high enough for our big dogs. There should be a separate area for small dogs.

    Ok size, but not impressed

I've taken my dog to this park a couple times. I like the it is large for dogs to have a lot of running room. The park has wood chips all over though, which has given my dog splinters in her paws. Also, the fence is very short. I don't have a large dog and she jumped the fence to chase the birds and take a swim in the lake. I would get the fence at least 6 ft and add some grass for it to be more enjoyable.

    Good but not super

Keep in mind this is the frist time i've been. The dog park was way in the back kinda hard to tell where it is. Also there is only one dog park so all sizes are in one area. Finding this park and the all dogs sizes was a my only complaint. Oh but just a note the fence is only four foot so if you have a large dog it could easily jump the fence.
