    Reviews Are Way Off

I just read the reviews. Yes there’s a group of dog lovers in the small dog area and yes they do have rules, but the rules are for everyone, pick up your dogs poop, don’t stand behind the fence with your dogs because it drives the other dogs crazy, just come in, none of the dogs bite. These “mean” people you speak of clean the area, provide blankets which they take home and wash, provide toys and wading pools and water bottles, they even spread barkdust in winter. They take care of potso. I’m guessing the people who wrote bad reviews had a reason to be spoken to. They’re all good people at potso and very good dog owners. Best small dog park in the city. I know my Doxie is safe there.

    Disgusted With Unfriendly Dog Owners

I first began taking my dog to Potso 3 years ago. Found the 'old timers' to be quite unfriendly and unaccepting of newcomers. Some of them seemed to think their aggresive dogs were 'so cute' ~ especially the chihuahua owners. Quickly found a place with more friendly dog owners with whom it is a pleasure to associate with.

    Be a calm pack leader!

First time visit on a Sunday morning -- nice space for small dogs, even with a visual barrier between the large & small dog area. However, we didn't stay long. Several of the small dogs seemed to be taking their cues from their aggressive owner. She told me before I entered that since I was standing outside the fence, her (3) dogs become agitated & bark aggressively. I had wanted to evaluate the safety of letting my 8 pound dog enter. We did stay for about 15 min, but the group conversation was all about the distaste for pugs and the dog owners who don't pick up poop. Thank goodness I had just cleaned up after my dog! My overall sense is that this is not a welcoming person/group? Nice area though!

Dog police is right---if you don't have a leash to get your dog to the car (about a 10 foot walk) you will be yelled at. Old people galore telling you how you should act and how your dog should act. If you are not part of their "friendship network" you are made to feel like an outsider. The dog likes this spot but I you will be made to feel uncomfortable.

    Nice Park Rude Dog Owners

My dog had a blast but watch out for the oldtimers they do keep a eye on every move you make. Don't pick up pop fast enough; you'll get the evil eye. The Dog Police may even bark at you with out giving you the benefit of the doubt. So glad I don't live near by and have to deal with such strict rules.
