Just started allowing dogs
They just started allowing dogs a couple years ago, which I think says a lot about the lack of dog friendliness in the area :(
That being said it’s a nice place to walk your dog. There’s a big pond, ducks. Just watch out for the mean Canada geese and their scat everywhere.

Love it here
I’ve grown up in Huntington, and Heckscher Park is awesome! They only recently started allowing dogs in the last couple of years (though people were bringing dogs before that anyway). Dogs are only allowed in certain areas of the park, so just be mindful of the signs!
