    Love this park

My dog loves this place and we love this place! The only minor downside is it can get muddy. However there is so much space for running and playing or there is space for your dog to be on their own if you prefer.

    Dog nirvana!

We stopped here on our country wide road trip, and our pup loved being able to run and swim off leash. Big enough that it’s not crowded, but enough dogs for playing and socializing.

Never seen a dog park like this!

This park was a lifesaver for us! Traveling with our Lab in 90 degree heat. She loved this park - several tree shaded trails to wind around, friends to meet, and water to play in. We went each day before lunch and she was chill the rest of the day.

Great place for lots of dog fun

Found this city recreation area in Lincoln on our cross country trip. Wonderfully spacious park. We didn’t even use the enclosed dog park. Our dog enjoyed this lake setting with lots of wildlife to see and trails to walk. Take the time for this fantastic stop!

    Dog Paradise!

my dog Kenya loved Rickmans Run at Lake Holmes recreation park. It is 22 acres of trails, trees, creeks, and grassy fields. Clean and beautiful. We think it’s the best in USA!

    Walk & Play

This park is fenced and has lots of area for Fido to run as well as plenty of paths for humans to walk on. No restrooms at the park and a small creek area. The large trees and long paths made it such a gorgeous place to walk and play! We would definitely come back here.

    Perfection For A Pup

SUch a great experience for my favorite furry love, Nebula. People were kind, the park is HUGE, there’s a creek, bridges, gravel paths- it’s great! We loved it so much we went several times during our quick weekend there.

    Big space

Great place for my dog to come and run and burn off some energy and for me to get some walking in. Big open space for him to run and run. Unfortunately every time he drinks the water he gets sick and smells horrible when he takes a dip. Not to sure of the quality of the water.

    dog lover

this dog park has everything a dog loves- lots of room to run, hills, valleys, a creek and other places to play in the water, plus lots of trees. We usually make a figure 8 track and encounter the open area, then the stream, then some trees, then back to the water and cross it to more trees, then back to an open area. Then we do the wholes thing again, it takes about an hour to do the full tour. I like this park better than any of several I've been to because it is so big and has such varied terrain. My dogs are bored at other dog parks.

    Spacious

This dog park is huge with lots of room for the dogs to run in both the large and small dog areas. Picnic tables, benches and a creek for the dog to play in. There are bathrooms for people, but the only thing it is lacking is a drinking fountain for dogs and people alike. If you go in the late summer there are mulberry trees where you can pick wild fresh fruit even. For the size of the dog park, the parking lot could be slightly larger, it seems to be a popular place.

    Polluted creek

This year I have noticed a big drop in the water quality of the creek. It seems logical it is due to the changes in the creek's flow since they came in with heavy equipment and altered it to save the lake. Now it is much smellier and stagnant. My dog stinks now when he goes in it and has skin issues that he did not have before. I live close to the park, but I am not taking him there now and he is improving. It is very sad for both of us. It seems like this affect had to be predictable. If you stop run-off from the lake, where will it go? As far as I can see, no alternative was created. It just stays in the creek for our dogs to be exposed to. They said that they did not want the yard products from the neighborhood behind the park to get to the lake, but what about our dogs? There must have been a way to protect the lake without doing this to the dog park.

great park & BIG area with water & shade!

We were traveling from Colorado to Michigan with 3 dogs. Had a long day on the road & wanted to get the dogs out for some fun. This park is a huge space with trees, fields, a creek- what a treat for all of us! The dogs got to meet some new friends & played & ran hard & got to take a dip in the creek. We had to ask where the park is because we thought it was on the lake side but is actually on the East side of S 70 th St- just South of Nirmal Blvd
Enjoy! This is a terrific dog park!

    Fun Times

I love taking my dog there. He is a small chihuahua and enjoys a chance to just hangout with smaller dogs in the designated area. We even adventure to the big dog side for a nice walk. Past the stream is a area that makes you feel as if it is out in the country. Have never had a problem with other people or dogs. Only a few excited young dogs that play a little too rough for my little guy. The place is usually packed on weekends and still gets a lot of attention on week nights. The stream grosses me out because it looks like watery mud but I would say 90% of people pick up after their dogs. HIghly Recommend!

    Great park!!

Really fun park for your dog. The little creek is the best part of it all... People is really nice also! I don't leave 5 bones because I think they should mow more often... even though we've been in a drought, weeds and wild grass is crazy long
