- TeluDec 30, 2020Great hiking trail
This is one of the best kept secrets in town, based on the number of people I've encountered :). You can park the car next to the tennis courts, and then go over the golf course to the start of the trail. You can pick between the main trail, that goes to the top of the hill and back, or by the lake, for a shorter trail. Both are secluded, and not so demanding hikes, with beautiful views. The dog really enjoyed it.

I totally agree with the other review. We took our two small dogs there and it was perfect. Just wanted to add that the trail access is behind the tennis courts. You can park in the tennis court lot.
- ElyseMore than a year agoA Rigorous Hike
You must walk through part of the golf course to get to the hiking trails, so your dog MUST be on-leash then. However, once you get to the real trails, it is so secluded that your dog can run free. I hike there a few times a month and have never run into anyone else. One important note: This is a rigorous hike that ascends to 1680 feet. There are 2 opportunities for awesome views. (I got a map from the Golf Shop at Richter. I couldn't locate one on line.)
