Summerland Greenwell Preserve is a pet-friendly area in rural Summerland, CA. Leashed dogs are welcome at this 2-acre peaceful nature preserve, where you'll discover environmentally sensitive habitats, including wetlands, a spring fed perennial creek, and two historic farm buildings. Fido can join you for a walk on the perimeter trail. They offer convenient parking, but be mindful that there are no restrooms or water access. Visit Website

Restoration planned
Unique property, but overgrown. Decent amount of parking (two lots). There is a very short path circling the property with signs identifying plants. You can get to this path from the first lot of the left (west) side of the building. There is a second, smaller parking lot on the right (east) side of the building. From the east lot you can walk up the dirt driveway. When you see a fenced gate with a no trespaasing private property sign look hard to the right corner and you will see a trail sign...heading back to the parking lot you came from. This trail then goes across the road and continues. The path runs along private property. A bit overgrown. There is actually yet another trail that was down the road before you came to the west parking lot. They have restoration plans in progress. Glad to see it will be restored since it seemed cool. No restrooms or water currently.
