    Best Place!

This is a huge expansive field in the middle of wetlands. Almost all fenced in and lovely when it’s not raining. It can get pretty wet in the rain, and muddy, but it’s still a great destination.

Nice Dog Park For The Responsible Owner

I read other the reviews and I am at a loss why this park only averaged 3/5 bones. The rules are quite clear about YOUR responsibility to manage your dog. Otherwise, find another park. It’s a no-frills beautiful open space park overlooking a wetland preserve. My dog must have run for 20 min straight! The only downside I had was there is only one set of trash cans near the entrance parking lot, so if your pup poops way on the other side of the park, you either have to carry the poop bag for a bit or walk back across the park. However, otherwise that means a worker has to go through and empty each of the trash/poop receptacles. There are water buckets near the entrance that a local occasionally fills with fresh water. Otherwise, you also need to bring your own water. So I get it ... no frills - deal with it.

    3 is fair

Some of these dogs here are large and high energy. Mine are 11 to 25 lbs and fairly cautious. They stay near me. One of them didn't like this ground, so he walked around like he had scotch tape on his feet, which was hilarious. Wouldn't come here with a dog i didn't know very well.

    Fenceless & Too Big

It doesn't matter how well-behaved a dog is under normal circumstances. Add certain variables, like an unfenced area so big you can't get to him/her if a fight occurs with another dog(s), and you've got a MAJOR problem. This isn't a "dog park"; It's merely a massive area in which you can bring your dog to walk, run, play fetch, etc. Been going to fenced dog parks for years. A confrontation can occur in a split second over a toy, a treat someone has for their own dog, even a stick desired by 2 dogs ... even for no apparent reason. At this place, your dog could be so far away playing with another dog that you could't get there in time. I would never risk the safety of our dogs in this place.

    Lots of space

This dog park is very spacious. Perfect for running around and training, however, there is no fences, so it might be difficult to get your dogs attention when he is dead set on heading somewhere you don't want him to. No water, so I recommend bringing your own when coming. All together, this is a very fun dog park for trained well behaved dogs!

    Plenty of room to run

It is quite a ways from Lakeville Hwy., so I didn't think it was a concern. You shouldn't take your dog there if he/she isn't under voice control (which is what the sign says). I always carry water and a bowl in my car for my dog, so that wasn't a problem for me. As for foxtails, they are everywhere right now. My dog likes to run and that's what he got to do...mission accomplished!

Rocky Dog Park is just "OK"

Good open space at Rocky BUT- it is not fenced and is thus potentially dangerous for dogs that may run to busy Lakeville Hwy; there is no water for dogs; for much of the year (Spring, Summer, Fall) there are loads of foxtails, which are very dangerous for dogs.
