    nice

Great area for my little pugs to play. Although there were very large dogs at the park, they all played nicely. A little disappointing to find piles if dog poop from irresponsible people, but overall great place just watch where you step.

    Dog Park Lover

This was our first dog park experience and it almost made us never go to another. My dog got attacked by an un neutered pit bull and the owner's response was "so?". A lot of un altered dogs and people who think they own it and are extremely rude camp out here. I found the dog park at Ft. Steilacoom a thousand times better (larger and friendlier).

    love it

I go to this great little dog park off of L street almost everyday, weather permitting. My dog Quinn loves it here too. Even if we are just going for a walk she tries and pull me to the park. All of the people there are friendly and so are the dogs.

    Doggie Paradise!

What more can a dog ask for? Running water, good size rocks, a pile of fresh mulch and plenty of room to run. It seems that this park was designed by a dog person. There is a double gate when you enter/exit, and there is a sloping walkway to the play area. These features were great for our puppy who could see the other dogs befor they could see him. We will definately take the drive again. We loved that this is a true off-leash, dog park.

    Nice, simple park

Rogers is a fairly small dog park- but hey, it does the trick! People and dogs are always nice. As someone else said, it may not be worth a long trip there if you are looking for something bigger or fancier than a fenced field. However this park has bags and water and social time with other dogs. If YOU like to walk too and not just throw a ball from one place then check out Steliacoom where there are trails and a bigger park that you can walk on-leash.

P.S. Cracks me up when people say Steliacoom is for "dainty" dogs! I don't see that at all. A lot of GIs from base go there...are they the over protective people with dainty dogs?

    super fun for the dogs

I moved to Tacoma last summer. I go to this park a minimum of 4 times a week (weather permitting). There are few amenities for people in the dog park aside from picnic tables and benches, but for the dogs this 2'ish acre fenced old ballfield is a paradise to sniff and play. I have 2 small dogs. They love to play with the large dogs. Usually the poopy bags are stocked and the water fountain is always on except the cold months when the faucet freezes and breaks. Parking is close. If you like regular,down-to-earth people who love to watch their dogs play and interact this is the best place to go. if you have a super dainty dog you like to overprotect, Steilacoom is where you need to go. Never felt unsafe. Don't let the Eastside location deter you. Also has a view of the port of Tacoma. hope to see you. J'Ro, MrChubs and MsPrecious

    Not Worth The Trip :(

We recently moved to Tacoma and was looking for a park to take our dogs. If you do not live in the neighborhood this park is in, it is not worth the trip. Basically a fenced in field with bench and a water fountain. Nothing to go out of your way for. The hydrant fountain was cute and the people there were very nice!!
