No separate area for small dogs

There is a shaded tent like thing, but I saw no separate area for small dogs, so I was too worried about my chihuahua with the Akita’s and German Shepherds I saw there.

Lives up to it’s ruff name!

absolutely no shade. it is just a fenced off block to exercise your pet. One of my dogs can’t handle the heat so we had to pass on this park!

    Unfriendly people and dogs

I took my dog on 9/11/19. First, we couldn’t even get in the gate because every dog there (about 10) blocked our entrance. Not one owner called their dog or came to get them, so we could get in. My dog was new to this park, but evidently the same owners and dogs go there frequently, so there is a pack mentality with the dogs as well as the owners. My dog was overwhelmed and dominated by basically the whole pack and the owners did nothing, but sit there and socialize. I finally had to pull one dog off of mine and got dirty looks for it. I even heard the comment “people need to let dogs be dogs and work it out”. Responsible pet owners do not let their dogs bully other dogs that give them no provocation. Will not return unfortunately.

    Aggressive dogs, inattentive owners

As soon as we got to the gate nearly every dog ambushed the entrance making it near impossible to get in. All the dogs crowded my obviously intimidated 55 LB, 7 month husky and in this whole process not a single owner looked up from their phone. For the 5 minutes we spent there before my dog got attacked, he was having to defend himself from a handful of large aggressive dogs who kept coming at him while he was trying to play with the few friendly dogs. Even while he was getting attacked I had to yell for the man to get his dog as I was trying to pull him away.

I’ve been taking my dog to dog parks almost daily since he was 4 months and never have had an experience like this. Will never come here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

    Nice Park

We visit this park often because it is near our home. There are two fenced areas for large dogs, but one is usually closed to allow the grass to regenerate. There is a separate area for small dogs. There is limited shade under shelter, but water is provided . The watering area tends to stay muddy, so even on dry days, Fido is likely to get dirty, so make sure to bring a towel. I tend to take my pet right before a bath. A good place to socialize and play, but I wish there were some tree shade.

    Needs more shade

There are tarps for shade, but this place is hot during the summer. Good place for the dogs to run and exercise, but not anything special. Would be nice to have some trees, but is located under major power lines. The watering area tends to stay muddy, so bring a towel for fido. I always bring my pet before a bath.

    spacious fun

went first time today. it is a large fenced area with seating and awnings for shade. There are several water stations, a few balls, and a ball-throw toy, chew-toys and chewed up frisbees. There are plenty of plastic baggies and ample trash cans for poop disposal- if only everyone would use them! One end of the grassy area had numerous poop-bombs.ugh. maybe those dog owners would use a pooper scooper if there were one hung on the fence or something?
