  Not very dog friendly and their patio is tiny

  Had high hopes for this new place which just opened a couple of blocks from my house in our neighborhood, unfortunately the rudeness and probably a bit of racial inequality put this place at the bottom list of anywhere I want to be. Please don’t believe me go experience it for yourself specially if you are a person of color with a furry pet.

  For starters, I live three blocks from this place and on my way home from a walk this evening I walked by and saw there was live music and the place although not crowded had a few people so I decided to investigate and from the outside a saw a group of people in their tiny patio with a dog (no water for the dog) and I poked inside to see if there were any other dogs inside before bringing my golden retriever in. While I poked inside I saw a Sheppard dog with a couple seating inside not in the patio close to the garage front door next to the patio, I proceeded to seat in one of the high tables away from the bar with my dog, I was there maybe 5-10 minutes while I looked at the menu, walked to the bar to ask for a drink and seat and be on my way after.

  Unfortunately, a very rude bartender who as I walked in saw me and was near the other dog who was inside the main room approached me as asked only me not the other people who appeared that were there for awhile as they had a few empty cocktails in front of them if my dog was a service dog? I answered that he was not and she mentioned that dogs only allowed in the patio. I asked her if the other dog inside was a service dog, as I could tell it wasn’t and also could tell she was aware that this other dog was inside the main room, she mentioned that she was also going to tell then (meanwhile she has been standing in front of them since I got there and most likely saw them the entire time they were there). I proceeded to go back to my table to pack my wallet, grab my carry bag, sunglasses and leave this rude place while this lady once again tells me that I need to leave…..listen, I know when I am not wanted but obvious display of racial bias was disgraceful for an establishment in a diverse area as the highlands.
