  Small, hot, no one pays attention to their dogs.

  Parking is next to the loud campus stadium, which immediately freaked my skittish dog out.

  There is no shade. Very little room to roam. And the 2 covered pavilions are full of owners not paying attention to their dogs.

  Apparently not for larger dogs

  My daughter and I took our German Shepherd to the park. As we walked up, there was a dog in the larger area that ran up to the fence and kept barking at our dog. We decided that we couldn't go in that side. It looked like this dog would start a fight. We went to the only other section that was open and a lady there told us that the dog park was only for smaller dogs so we left. No where did I see anything that said only for smaller dogs. We drove 30 minutes to bring our dog to the park and then ended up just leaving. They need to make it clear what types and sizes of dogs are allowed.

  I take my dog here all the time and it’s a wonderful place for him to get his energy out

  Seems you must be a member of the clique to hang out here. They don't pay attention to their humping dogs and no one picks up poo - despite bags being provided free of charge and trash cans every where. Watch where you step in every inch of this place.

  Don't Bother

  Not big enough and no grass. Would rather take my dogs on a walk. Worst dog part I have ever seen and I have lived in 5 states and been to countless dog parks

  simple. gets the job done :)

  Not pretty or exciting for the owner. There is not much grass and only small trees. But my dog still always has a good time running and playing with the other dogs. A fun group usually comes in the afternoons. It is a convenient location for me and my dog doesn't notice "scenery" so he doesn't care that it isn't pretty ;)

  San Marcos Dog Park

  Dirty, too small for dogs to run and play, no shade trees or anything. Simply a small grassy spot enclosed by a chain lin fence.
