This park is excellent. Right next to the road, clean water and lots of mulch to minimize mud (although our pup did need a bath anyway). Space for small and big dogs and owners tend to clean up after their dogs. We have had the place to ourself, and have shared the space with as many as twelve dogs. Mix of owners who actively play with their dogs and owners that just stand and watch.

We were visiting from out of town, staying close to this dog park. Well cared for, nice people, poop bags and fresh water provided. My lab loved the strip of turf installed for softer dog run!

We bring our pup here twice a day! beautifully shaded, and cared for. Water and bags available. Benches to sit and watch the fun. Bathrooms and an awesome playground nearby. Volunteers keep mulch spread and Astro turf area swept/raked. Lots of regulars that welcome newcomers quote social. Occasional issues with can arise from inattentive owners. Hands down our favorite park.

We are traveling from OH to FL and Schappacher Dog Park is our first stop. It’s a great spot! Only about 4 minutes (~2.5 miles) from the highway. The park is very clean and well kept. Not huge but big enough for dogs to run and stretch their legs (I have 2 Dalmatians). There’s a separate area for small dogs too.
It’s about 3/4 mulch and bark. Two nice benches and a picnic table. There’s a spout and bowls for water. Poop bags are offered along the fence all the way around the park.
When traveling we will definitely stop here again. - VickiMay. 11, 2019Perfect Little Park :)
Easy access from the hwy on a road trip. Perfect for our pup to stretch her legs

This park is in a lightly wooded area with restrooms, shelters, and a playground for children. The fenced area for dogs is probably about a half acre, big enough for them to romp but still let you keep your eye on them while you relax on a bench.
