    CedarCreek Dog Park, Seaford NY

I have been going there for 8 years. We had a lovely group of people and dogs, and on nice days we would all sit in a circle while the dogs played and we would talk. Everyone was responsible and picked up after their pets as well as having dogs who were trained well enough to be a pleasure. I would have given the park a 5-bone rating until sometime in the last year and a half or so a man named Tony started going with an untrained dog named Storm. Storm takes anything you put down - cellphones, purses, leashes, and is a large dog who jumps on people, almost knocking them over, scratching them, and pulling people's property with his teeth. He picks up all the water bowls in the summer, spilling the water out, all while his owner Tony watches and laughs. Two days ago Tony stood over me while I was sitting on a bench and threatened me, because I asked him to call his dog from clawing me. When Storm has a BM he refuses to pick it up, using profanity. Many of the people have told him he needs to train his dog but he refuses, curses and threatens them. Now that the Newbridge Road Park has a Dog Run, most of the Cedar Creek regulars go there to avoid this very strange man and his unruly dog. I feel sorry for the dog because it isn't his fault that his owner is irresponsible and has so much anger toward people, but in the end no one wants to have to deal with either of them. This man seems to have a violent nature and it's just a matter of time until he hurts someone. I hate to stop going to Cedar Creek Park after 8 years so I will probably still go now and then. But I am also going to try the Newbridge Road Dog Run, as most of the people now go there. How sad that they enlarged and improved Cedar Creek Dog Run only to have someone run everyone out.

    good space

The space for the dogs is very nice. Plenty of seating for owners. Many owners are not friendly but that can be anywhere.

    park condition

Love the area, and park is a nice size, but water system is not the greatest and the park is 100% dirt. It kicks up everywhere. I don't make a special trip to go back, but it's not bad either.

    Love it!

I love the park I go 5 days a week and I know a lot of the people and everyone is friendly. The dogs are friendly as well and the park just got a renovation! You dog will go home dirty but will have a blast. The big dogs might sound mean but they are all just playing! I let my 40 pound Gooldendoodle play with all of them.
