The Ozark National Forest is a 1.2 million-acre forest located in the Ozark Mountains of western Arkansas. The St. Francis National Forest is just over 22,000 acres in eastern Arkansas, making it one of the smallest national forests in the country. Dogs should remain on leashes while in the campground areas.
