Frank Holten State Recreation Area
Frank Holten State Recreation Area offers urban outdoor recreation opportunities on 1,080 acres in Centreville, IL. Some of the dog-friendly features include wooded and grassland walking areas, as well as one of the region's largest day-use areas, equipped with picnic facilities, barbecue pits and drinking water. There are also two lakes, Whispering Willow and Grand Marais, which provide boating and bank fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish. Dogs are welcome as long as they're leashed.
