The entire park is nice. Decent parking. Dog area is well maintained.
Please be extra wary of other owners not supervising their aggressive dogs! My Berner had his ear torn by a dog [removed] and the dog's owner laughed the whole thing off. Luckily my dog is very submissive and doesn't fight back but if it had been another dog, it could have been much worse. I was told there are a few regulars like her that don't follow the rules. Now we don't go at 4 pm because that's her time. Even though I filled a report, and she refused to pay for the vet, she still is allowed at the park. So just be a little extra careful.

Visited the park on the way home from a short stay for a family event. Ended up spending 2 hours! I’ve made it a goal to stop at dog parks wherever I travel, especially those highly rated. I am surprised to see less than stellar reviews here, bc this was the best I’ve been to so far. There were actually dogs and people gathered in the small dog area, which was huge - and the dogs enjoyed the spacious running area. Usually at many parks, the big dog area is usually where it’s at. The people were extremely friendly and. Welcoming and I really enjoyed talking with them in comfy chairs while the dogs played. They were patient with my dog who’s always a little nervous at first but loves nothing more than playing and warms up and engages. They do have wood chips and you could tell the dogs preferred dirt, so they will get dirty, but who cares?! There is a large, clean porta potty (finally someone thought to do this - yay!), emergency phone, and beautiful woodsy surroundings with paved walking areas. I was so happy to watch my dog have so much fun making new friends. She was happy and relaxed after, and I just wish I lived closer! Loved it, and bravo to South Windsor for this dog haven!

Ok dog park. Nothing to write home about. Good enough.

Out of town visitors do not have a right to complain the quality of the park.

Overall a good size fenced in area for my dog to play. They should have a weight limit in the small dog area being that I have had several run ins with dog parents already who bring in their giant puppys to play witht he small dogs.

Sadie has the best time there. The doggie parents are generally attentive and friendly. On rare occasions do dogs have "disagreements". Overall we prefer it over other area parks. Decent level trails, too. My only complaint is the wood chips aren't replenished often enough.

First time we have ever taken our dog anywhere. It was great. She loved it, she only had one dog that wouldn't leave her alone and they got into it. Neither one was hurt, just normal dog act. We will be making this a normal weekend thing.

all the dog owners and dogs are very friendly and generally keep an eye on their dogs and others. we just didnt like the size of the area (not large enough) and wood chips? really!? also one of the rules is no toddlers or small children...at what age is a child small, cause we had an old women scream at us for our child being with us, even though we were alone in the park. i think they need to re think that wording on that rule.

Great people, great dogs, great area. I make this dog park part of my almost daily routine with my new pup. The owners are respectful and all the dogs play wonderfully together. I've seen many shy dogs come out of their shells in this great environment.
