My dog visited the large dog section of the park. It was mostly dirt and dust. There were only 2 other dogs at the time and their owners barely controlled them. Constantly bulldozing my dog and playing too rough. I’m sure this was an isolated incident but the park being mostly dirt meant my dog was filthy in under 30 min. I won’t be returning.

    Sad to hear bad reviews

UGGG... I was so looking forward to visiting this park...My family adopted our dog very recently. Until now, I have not fully realized the many problems that exsist at this dog park. I've recenty been told that awhile back, a majority of dogs fell ill after visiting the park, dog fights and attacks with noone helping, people ignoring the rules, and people acting rude and judgemental towards others, are talked about loudly, and made to feel unwelcome. This solves NOTHING.
So now I woud like to know what has been put in place to incorporate change...If something is weighing heavily on MY heart, I know that God is leading me to work towards changing it. If anyone else feels this way, seek me out. I like to make things happen for the better. As always, it takes a village, respect breeds respect! Blessings

    Nice park...needs shade

This particular dog park is a great place. It would be so much better if everyone that used it followed the rules that are posted at the gate. Primarily, clean up after your dog and no unneutered dogs in the park.
Also, if the parks department could plow a walkway or two into the park and around it in the winter time when there's two feet of snow it would be really exceptional.

The Idea is Wonderful, But Without Supervision and Rules Followed, Dangerous

The park itself is nice. There is a walking path around the dog park area. The area the dogs play in is not great. Not cleaned well, and it's boring. Nothing to stimulate them. No trees or obstacles courses, just dirt. It's not the friendliest place. I wish they had a water fountain to fill the dog's dishes. More toys. A bulletin board would be awesome WITH a volunteer sign up sheet. That's the biggest problem. It is not safe. Many, many dogs come there with irresponsible owners who know their dog is vicious or aggressive, has not had them neutered or spayed and doesn't have the shots required. They bring small children into the mix. No one is there to regulate. My dog has been attacked there multiple times. It kills me. Many people would volunteer. Someone is going to get hurt very badly there. It scares me since it happens so very often. People are just selfish and rude, and by not following rules of a nice place we could socialize and exercise our dogs, but instead, it's hit or miss. Some always ruin it for others, but I really think the town has dropped the ball and not invested in ways to enhance the park and enforce the rules. It can be done.

My dog "CHICO" loves this park. The people and dogs are quite friendly and he has found his place in the pack which consists of about 15 to 25 regulars.
