Overall the park that contains the dog park is nice. But avoid the dog park itself - irresponsible owners who simply go to socialize and pay zero attention to what their dogs are doing or how they are behaving. I know both people and dogs that have been attacked there. Another dog was starting to get aggressive with my dog and the owner started yelling at me when I decided to remove my dog from the situation. I'd leave it at 0 stars if I could

I have an almost 5mo puppy and we love going here! We do choose days that aren’t super busy, as to ensure that she doesn’t get too flooded.
we stay on the small dog side, as I’ve noticed the large dog side can get a little intense.
in my experience, owners have always been respectful of their dogs and mine, since I leave when the park gets too full or rowdy. - LaurenSep 2, 2022no thanks
i drive out of the way to not go to this park. the owners are sooo cliquey and makes it uncomfortable for anyone else that goes here. go to smithbridge or bethel road dog park instead. much better.

Talley Day dog park is a good park.
But you have a small dog park and a large dog park. The other day while I was at the park my dog and another dog (both about 30 lbs each) were attacked by Polo the boxer. What I found to be quite interesting is how the other dogs played quite well with the balls before Polo showed up on the scene. After he showed up he attacked the female dog 30 lbs for her ball and Polos owner stated he likes certain balls and asked if we could put it away so we did. After listening to her talk one of the other patrons thew a ball for him and he did not even bother it. Instead he attacked another 30 lb male dog.
Again she claimed it was over a ball.
First and foremost Polo is a boxer somewhere around 70lb according to breed description. He is a large dog and should have never been in the small dog section. The other thing that had me flabbergasted is how she expected the other dogs and their owners to cater to her dogs behavior. She kept blaming the balls for his behavior instead of owning up to his lack of discipline. After she and Polo left everything went back to normal. - AustinJan 25, 2022Great location/ With minor flaws
I’ve been coming to this park for about 3 months now 3-4 days a week. It’s great and the people are really nice everyone says hi and starts conversations. Most of the dogs are very nice but like everywhere sometimes there are some that don’t behave well. As long as you can control your dog(s) you shouldn’t have any issues. My dog has been into on altercation cause the other tried to hump her but they yelled and separated instantly. Afternoon is very crowded morning is about 10 dogs max always someone to play with.

We were visiting from out of town. Brought my dog for a visit and she made some new doggie friends. The park is very clean and well kept. The other let parents are friendly and welcoming.

I have a 5 month old dog and he loves to play with big dogs. I have been to this park multiple times and my dog has enjoyed the other dogs. Today I took him to the dog park and he was attacked by an aggressive dog. The owner just stood there and said and did nothing until I told him to grab his dog before I do. I will not go back to this park or ever again take my dog to a dog park. He loves them so much too! Be Careful, Owners Dont Care!
My dog is OK! - MargaretMore than a year agonice park
Great park, my dog loved it until the black pitbull showed up and attacked him and had him pinned down by the throat. The owner didn't do anything. Thankfully my son was there and got the dog off. We left and have not been back since. It's a shame because my dog really enjoyed playing with the other dogs

We came back home to Wilmington for the holidays and stopped by with our dogs after they were in the car for 6 hours. They had a great time playing there. We will be back.

Great place to being my dog. He had a great time with the other dogs and had a blast with all the balls that were there. Guy shows up with his large black dog that went right after mine. Thankfully my son was there and got the dog off of ours. We left. I told the guy to keep, his on a leash and stay out of the park.
- MaryMore than a year agoIrresponsible adults
The park itself is very nice. Walking trails as well as fenced dog park. Unfortunately adults bring young children and let them walk around and play in the mulch. I'm afraid a child will get hurt inadvertently from a dog running into a child. Also some owners seem to encourage aggression, or consider it a time to interact with adults instead of the dog. Better group of owners during the week in the morning.

Usually nice park for friendly dogs. Aggressive Rot named Morgan attacked 4 dogs today. Owner thought it was funny

I have a little dog so She was by herself but she loved the interaction with the big dogs via the fence. All dogs gentle this day. There was a Yorkie with the big dogs and zero issues

Our first visit to this park on a sunny day. Mulch was thick, separate fenced in areas for big/little dogs was helpful. People were very friendly, double entry gate was appreciated. Benches and chairs allowed folks to visit. One lady was eating her lunch. Nice environment!!!!!
- MikeMore than a year agoGreat time!
Basic. Simple, spacious dog park. Plenty of room to run and play, looks like people leave toys behind, and there are communal water bowls and water fountains. Was very muddy when I went, and no mulch. Another patron said it was neve rremulched in the fall. Will definitely go back.

Good concept and our first time there was great for our dog. The last two times, especially when she entered the large dog park she was ganged up by the pack and bullied by dogs. Most owners sat on benches and just watched. Another owner said, that's what dog's do? When we saw teeth we got her out of there, although not easily.

Place smelled like manure. Some guy brought an vicious dog in today that attacked a women's dog.
- DannyMore than a year agoNice park Lousy dog owners
Gave this place a couple of try's. Most owners ignore their pets preferring to sit on the benches. A few nasty dog fights here, along with some ownersnot cleaning up after their dogs.

The park was great and my dog loved it. It's great that they separate big dogs from small ones. The water fountains were closed, hence one bone down :)
- MarieMore than a year agoGreat Dog Park
Just found this park today and love it. It is so nice to have the separate areas, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Yet they are next to each other so the big and little guys can still sniff each other through the fence without fear of injury.
- OscarMore than a year agoNice but...
Nice space, double gates, water fountain -- this is a good park except for the wood chips instead of grass. There's no agility equipment or balls -- just a nice big space to run.
- NinaMore than a year agoBest dog park ever
I took my dogs yesterday, wow they love it. The park is really big. It has two seperate parts. One for the big dog and one for the little dogs. Theres water fountains so bring the dog's bowl? They got dog bags for the poop too. You might want to spray yourself with Off, lots of knats. The park is definately on our list for today. Good job park owners. Keep up the good work.Did I mention that Everyone who enters the park is extremly friendly, so make sure U say hello to to everybody.
- CindyMore than a year agoAwesome Dog Park
I love taking my dog to this park. There are two separate fenced in areas for small and big dogs and they are very large. It is well-kept and the people are friendly as well as the dogs. There is usually a variety of energy levels too. Laid back dogs who are up for socializing and some butt-sniffing as well as dogs who love to run around and wrestle. See you there!
