Slightly confusing to find at first…once you get to the address stay to the left and go left at the stop sign, past the volleyball courts on the left and you’ll arrive right at the dog park!
Nice to be able to throw a ball and not be limited! Love the trees and picnic tables throughout but I’m amazed how many people are lazy and don’t pick up after their dogs! Poop all around💩 - PatriciaJul 22, 2022Nice size dog park
This park has lots of trees, paths and places for sitting
My dog loves it - RuthJun 21, 2021Huge, shady dog park
Signage could be better to direct you to the park...but once there, you'll love it.
Both the main dog area and the timid dog area are huge and full of trees. There are shaded places to sit. There's a water source in each of the areas. Bathrooms are close by.
The dogs loved it. - RosemaryNov 29, 2020Great dog park!
What a wonderful dog park this is! It was Lucy's first time there. She met Gracie (with Donna--so lovely to meet you!) and Dylan (with Dennis)! There are 2 separate areas--one of them for more timid dogs. In the larger area there's a walking trail, huge open area for exploring or a game of catch, water and bowl provided, lovely benches if you want to sit. Scenery is as good as it gets!
- Ka trinaFeb 28, 2020Great Park
I've been going to this dog park for a bit now and I am impressed. They have a really large area for friendly dogs and a smaller section for timid dogs- this is a huge help as my rescue chi can get nervous and reactive with larger pushy dogs. So she can still work on her socialization without putting her at risk. The owners who have been there when I've been there are attentive to their dogs and are very nice; not pushy like others I've interacted with in other dog parks. Will be back!
- KellyMore than a year agoamazing dog park!
Being from the Phoenix area, I love that this dog park is a nice wooded, fenced in area. There's plenty of open space for running and playing, accompanied by dirt paths that go into the "woods" area of the park. My boys loved it!
- JoyMore than a year agoDarbie's first visit to the Bark Park
Yesterday, October 1, 2011, we treated another of our West Highlander Terriers to a "Special Day" at the Bark Park in Show Low. Darbie had been a puppy mill breeding dog & had never been out of a cage or socialized in any manner when we bought him. He didn't even know his name. He had never been associated with dogs, other than his family "Pack" (once he got his "forever After Home" with us)... He has a very good nature & yesterday, he had a wonderful time. There was a dog show in town & many people brought their dogs to the park. There must have been 15 at a time. Darbie had a delightful time with them all.
- JoyMore than a year agoDelighted wit the Bark Park
We took one of our four West Highland Terriers to the Show Low Bark Park today. We were delighted to learn of it. It was great exercise for me & our dog, our first born, Westie, had a great time...not having to be on a leash made it a special "Outing " for him, even though we have an fenced in acre with grass etc. at our home in Vernon. I was impressed that there were three dishes of fresh water which Westie drank from. We will plan to bring all four of our westies soon. The only thing that was lacking today was "other dogs! Westie is very socialized & he would have enjoyed meeting other dogs. I couldn't begin to suggest any improvements. It is a great asset to our community.
