Shimek State Forest
Visit the pet-friendly Shimek State Forest located in the Farmington, IA area. Leashed furry friends are welcome to join you in exploring this forest, which features 9,448 acres across five forest units, the Lick Creek Unit, Farmington Unit, Donnellson Unit, Croton Unit and Keosauqua Unit. There are also campsites, rugged hiking trails and fishing opportunities. Dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after.
