Carrizo Plain National Monument
Carrizo Plain National Monument is a pet-friendly place to walk and explore with Fido in Santa Margarita, CA. Bring Fido along while you discover its diverse wildlife and culturally significant sites, including the San Andreas Fault's prominent features, the Soda Lake alkali wetland, dry lake beds, and vibrant carpets of wildflowers during the annual super bloom. Pets must be controlled at all times, and leashed while at the visitor center, interpretive overlooks, trail heads, and camping areas. No pets are allowed in the Painted Rock exclusion zone.
