I grew up here, and I knew Indian Ledge before the dog park was built. Park at the splash pad/playground near the entrance and follow the path into the woods. Once you’re deep enough in, nobody will bat an eye at an off leash doggo! Great trails back there, the CT River is back there, beautiful rock formations. Just be sure to put Fido back on the leash before you come back out to the playground area - the Rangers are occasionally checking for parking stickers, and they wouldn’t be psyched. The CT River Valley is 5-stars even if the dog park itself is not!

We are visiting from Boston & were stoked to find a dog park close by- unfortunately the grass was really overgrown (tick- city, am I right?) & the water bowls were jagged (looked like they had been run over.) My pup- a one year old black lab puppy who finds fun no matter where goes- was even bummed out. I see they’re trying to have an agility curse of sorts- great land/space if a little more effort was put in!

My family just moved from Maine and we were happy to discover this dog park down the street from us. Unfortunately because our dog is not neutered he is not allowed in the fenced in area to play with the other dogs. I think that is plain silly and quite frustrating because my dog is very friendly. We walked the loop instead which was nice but he still needed to stay on a leash or else we'd be fined. Bummer...
