We go to Mugrage all the time, we were looking for something new, just to do some exploring. This park doesn’t have all the amenities (like water available for refills, so come prepared), and not so much shade. But the plentiful grass is almost completely devoid of dog mess, and there is an entire agility course to play with. The large dog area is quite large, the small dog area, not so much. Nothing to play with in there. Still, definitely one of the better parks in the area.

Sophia, our server, was SO kind. We showed up just before a rain shower that turned into a thunderstorm! She seated us, offered a pup bowl for my baby girl, and ultimately let us walk thru the restaurant to spare us a summer downpour as we headed to the covered patio. This spot cares about you and your pooch, and has delicious tapas, a wide selection of wines, and a continuous bandwidth for caring! Definitely worth a visit!

I grew up here, and I knew Indian Ledge before the dog park was built. Park at the splash pad/playground near the entrance and follow the path into the woods. Once you’re deep enough in, nobody will bat an eye at an off leash doggo! Great trails back there, the CT River is back there, beautiful rock formations. Just be sure to put Fido back on the leash before you come back out to the playground area - the Rangers are occasionally checking for parking stickers, and they wouldn’t be psyched. The CT River Valley is 5-stars even if the dog park itself is not!
