Manhattan Project National Historical Park Los Alamos
Check out the Manhattan Project National Historical Park, dog-friendly state park in Los Alamos, NM. This historic site was where the world’s first atomic weapons were designed and built in a secret laboratory, as they found the secluded nature of the desert an ideal location. Fido is welcome to join you for a picnic at the pond, on a hike to the top of Kwage Mesa, or on a trek on the Acid Canyon Trail. Dogs are not allowed in any buildings and must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after.
