Van Cortlandt Park

Pets love the chance to run free at this fenced, off-leash dog park, which includes two separate sections and plenty of wide open, grassy spaces. There are trails to explore and plenty more to keep dogs and their owners busy. Dogs must be cleaned up after. Visit Website

Great dog park for agility fun

This dog park has agility items like a ramp, a tube, and some things to jump through. Lots of fun for my energetic pup.

I will say the dog park is quite far from the subway, so definitely plan on a hour or two to make the trip worthwhile.

Best dog park I've been to

This dog park has two sections. One section is large, with a bench or two. The other section is even bigger and includes obstacles such as tunnels, hoops and bridges for the dogs to play with. This section has 4-5 benches and garbage pails. There is usually a nice covering of grass in both sections. The park is well taken care of with the help of Bash Dibra- a local trainer/business owner. He has helped to renew a section of the dog park (added trees and grass- this part of the dog park is still sectioned off- while the trees grow?) They also throw events/fund raisers throughout the year such as Howl-o-ween. Park on the street near the Henry Hudson Parkway, enter the park through the sidewalk, by the large fields and the dog park is tucked around a corner on the left. There are also many trails in the park to walk leashed pets on.
