We stopped at this dog park when we went to Asheville for the weekend - as others said, it’s not easy to find as it’s not by the track but further down by the skate park. There’s no water for the dogs to access and it’s just a fenced lot of dirt and mulch. Worst of all - there’s a giant mud puddle in the middle of the large dog park if it rained anytime in the last two weeks. The regulars said it’s always there when they go. I would be fairly disappointed if I lived in this area and had this as a dog park. The city definitely needs to step it up.

Perfectly adequate dog park; not a lot of shade for owners and no grass, just chippings. The riverside stroll immediately outside the entrances to the dog park is just as much fun.

I take my Aussie here several times a week, it is very clean and usually a good turn out of dogs, can be a bit hard to find ( it’s by the skate park not where google maps says)
There is no water spicket and the dogs get thirsty, you have to walk down a little steep area to get to the river to fill up a bowl for the dogs, I managed to slip and fracture my tailbone about a month ago, public works said it’s too much money to add water into the dog area.
OTHERWISE amazing park - CatherineMay 24, 2018Better signage needed
No signs to the park, had to go to the main office to ask directions. No water near park. On the plus side, met several nice dogs and owners.

This dog park has two secure sections, one for small dogs and one for big ones. The regulars, human and canines, are friendly and fun. There is a creek and great walking trails right beside the fenced in dog yards. Blue and I will definitely be back!
- AprilMore than a year agohard to find but worth it
we were staying at Lake Junaluska, and the friendly staff at the hotel wasn't certain of the directions except to say The Pepsi Dog Park was somewhere behind the
bi-Lo off Russ Ave. It's a little more complicated than that, but not much. If you ask for the Waynesville Recreation Center, you 're certain to come upon it....or just go behind the Bi-Lo and wander. It was a great find for us! - DennisMore than a year agoDog Park
It's nice to have two distinct areas not only for small/large dogs but for dogs that may need separating. There is shade in both parks. It's well maintained and clean. The nearby stream is a terrific cool down so bring water to drink, a long leash and a towel. We love going to the park whenever we are nearby. Mulligan and Lilly
