Shawnee State Forest, known as "The Little Smokies of Ohio," spans over 60,000 acres, making it the largest state forest in Ohio. Featuring a popular entry point in West Portsmouth, visitors can enjoy a variety of pet-friendly recreational activities such as hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and mushroom & berry picking. Dogs are welcome on a leash or under voice control.
