very nice clean dog park. There were no worries the pups were going to get out as it was nice and secure.

I have been taking my 2 year old dachshund here for over a year now. It's a nice park and he really enjoys running around with the other small dogs. Fortunately, we have not encountered any of the rude people mentioned in other reviews, but I understand how that could affect one's attitude about it. As it is, we will continue going there.

We walked to the small dog section of dog park from the campground only to find a group of dog owners sitting under a tree visiting and paying absolutely no attention to their aggressive dogs. Our dog is a pup and we are trying to get him socialized. I had to pull other dogs off him 3 times before giving up and leaving. The owners completely ignored the problem and just kept talking. Not a good experience at all.
- BritneyNov 20, 2019very bad.
the people are very rude. the dogs are aggressive. the owners encourage it. my 45lb dog was attacked in the big dog area and the people were laughing and saying my dog should have played with the other to avoid the situation. these people are hard headed and just simply rude, also to add on to this my dog needed 4 stitches. and one other thing is how dirty and gross this park is, just shut it down.

Don’t let the negative reviews scare you. It’s true that there are some whack jobs that go here and can make the experience unpleasant. With that being said, if you avoid going at peak hours (when people get home from work between 6-7pm) it’s a great park. My dog absolutely loves it here and for the most part, the people that are there during the early afternoon are respectful

First visit with my two eight month old lab puppies. One other person present who was a lovely young lady with her 8 month old German Shepherd puppy. My rescue lab pups have not been socialized with other dogs yet and I thought that this would be a good place to do that. They played well with the German Shepherd pup. A few other dogs arrived and unfortunately one of them was a little aggressive. Looked like an Akita mix or some type of husky mix that growled and around the other dogs. I stayed very close to them just to be sure and safe. Twice, the Husky had one of my pups pinned down. He was not holding him with his mouth but just aggressively intimidating him to where my dog was in a fetal position in a yielding stance and it's really sad to see that because my dogs are so playful and loving. He was scared.
Anyhow the owner eventually took her dog away which is protocol and the rules of the park. Otherwise it's a nice park, lots of space, tennis balls, a muddy area, and swimming pool area. I did not see any unclean areas at all. We will be back when in that area. We're going to check out the Vero Beach dog park as well and I will give a review on how that goes. - ChristinaMore than a year agoAggressive Dogs and Irresponsible Owners
First time at this park and was met by a growling and aggressive dog that sparked the other dogs that were there. We tried to slowly introduce our 5month old puppy as we entered the gate but the aggresser tried to attack and my husband was bit trying to protect our puppy. Only one teenage boy came over to take away one of the dogs(not the overly aggressive one) not a single adult owner came to get the others. They sat in chairs under a tree and watched. Will never go back. So irresponsible.

Had to call the police to get this woman off my back. Old man with a pomeranian is still here causing problems. They need to be banned.

Great dog park. Dog owners are friendly and watch their dogs to discourage unwanted behavior on the large dog area. Owners pick up after their dogs. Having gone to dog park on Malabar (where I have seen 4 episodes of dog aggression, two becoming bites and blood, and I went only 10-15 times) I love Wickham Park.

Very friendly people. Owners keep watch on their dogs so I feel safe taking my dog there. Have been going for months and have not seen any dog aggression or rough playing.
- PamMore than a year agoUnclean
New to the area; took my 3 year old dog there last week and was sorely disappointed at the sight of at least 12 uncleaned up poops in the large breed dog area! All but one of the dog owners I saw there had their noses buried in their smartphones and weren't paying attention to their dogs at all. I will never bring my dog back due to the uncleanliness factor. People, please clean up after your dogs!!

I visited this park for the first time with my 5 month old puppy. I was in the large park for a little bit then wanted to go to the small dogs park since he's still pretty small.. An old man approached me telling me and my dog to leave and I refused cause he was fine with the weight. He kept harrassing me and threatening me and as he left he shut the gate and pinned my puppy and i demanded he go get the ranger. By the end of it nothing was done. An old white man with a pomeranian that goes there regulary is the man watch out for him he might start yelling at you too. I will never visit again cause the park rangers didn't even put him in place. It's ridiculous. Then again its conservative Melbourne so much hate.
- LindsayMore than a year agoIt's great but..
I love this park but sometimes there are certain people there that make it hard to enjoy. Particularly a lady with a big black labradoodle. My dog stepped on this lady's foot and she started yelling at me about why I didnt have her trained and why was she so vicious. After everyone else had left this lady tried to confront me quite belligerently and was really making quite a fool of herself. That and there's a lady that brings her kids and my dog doesnt really know how to behave around kids which is why I take her to a dog park because I can't let her run around because we have neighbors with kids. People don't follow the rules there. There are no kids allowed.
