    Love this park

I been going there since it opened. It was worth ever penny when it was 25 for the year and 20 for my second dog. We had a dog part of Attendant there all day. In case of emergency or someone with out a permit. Now its 5 dollars a dog for the year. There is shade there on both sides. Most of us have been going since the beginning.

    Love it

We always go to the park off 88. It's only $5 a year, there are 2 sides for large and small dogs. The big side is half beach sand and half woods with trails. Four laps is a mile. The dogs and people get to know each other and it becomes a social thing. It's all in the timing.

    Safe Park

my husband and i went for the first time to see how the dog park was with our 3 fuzzy babies. At first i was a little scared to let my husky puppy off the leash. She had never played with other dog's except her bother and sister. Everyone was very welcoming to our babies and to us. We made so many puppy friends and human ones to. The dog park was very clean i like the fact that there was water, toys and poop bags provided for the dogs. The dog park is also double fenced on the side where the street was. That made me so happy knowing my babies could run around and they where safe. Their's lot's of tree's and benches for you to relax while your puppy play's. The 5 dollar fee is so worth it knowing the park is will kept up and clean. The recreation aid is alway's on staff to make sure the park is going smoothly at all time to keep our furry kids safe. We have found our forever puppy park.

    Horrible Place

I stopped by to check it out before investing in a permit. $25 is a lot for use of a park and I had heard it wasn't all that great. When I got there the park turned out to be a large fenced in area with very little shade or grass. It was mostly sugar sand which in the hot weather will burn a dogs paws. I was ready to leave but what I assumed to be the attendant insisted it would ne alright it I came in to look around. She insisted I use the small dog area as it was more shaded and all the dogs were in there. I should have known better when I entered the first gate and one of the dogs. Charlie, started growling at us so we couldn't get though the second gate. The "attendant" called him off so went in. She then demanded I take my dog off leash before I could even get settled. She then introduced Charlie and I realized she was just a person using the park. Again I should have left. After a bit of the dogs sniffing each other this person decided everyone should "take a lap" and called to my dog to follow her. Her dog then tried to attack my dog, growling and snapping. I'd had it and called my dog to me so I could leave and this horrible woman GRABBED MY DOG BY HER COLLAR SO SHE COULDN"T! She then told me "I didn't understand the pack mentality or how a dog park works." Actually I do, you're supposed to keep your aggressive dog home! I got my dog away from her and got out of there and we won't be going back!

    Ocean County Park

Wonderful facility. Water and disposal bags are provided. There are shade trees and picnic tables. Best of all, there is a park attendant there at all times to provide security and to insure owners obey all the rules. Our dog loves it!

There are better ones for free

Been here once and it was OK. Almost entire area is sand. And I for one cannot justify the annual fee when there are other parks that have better off leash areas for free. 2 bones for big size.

    Great Parks

Got two Greyhounds they love it. Have had no problems with other dogs. Plenty of room for them to open up.
