After Labor Day until March 15, leashed dogs can join you on bayside beaches at the Fire Island Lighthouse in Bay Shore, NY. Pets are restricted from ocean beaches during the spring and summer months due to nesting birds. Dogs are not permitted inside the lighthouse or buildings, but you can enjoy exploring the pet-friendly coastal trails together.

Went to field 5 at Robert Moses. Although there are signs saying no dogs, there are plenty of dogs on the beach and the path. As long as you’re there on the off season, you should be fine.
My pup loved all the new smells and going in the water! Ignore the no pets signs, many dogs were walking on the trail to the lighthouse, when we got there they even had a big bowl of water for the dogs! Will definitely go back.
