LeTort Spring Run Nature Trail
The LeTort Spring Run Nature Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Carlisle! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the LeTort Spring Run Nature Trail. THe trail is clean but narrow in places and not well marked. There are points that you have to walk several blocks in a neighborhood . It’s a great location with lots of parking in the park area. We had to spend an hour after our stroll pulling off ticks and small burrs.
