    My Pup Loved It!

This was my pup’s first time at a beach and she loved it. The waves may be a bit much for a little dog so you have to watch them carefully! Lots of people there with very happy dogs around. Don’t bring your dog if they are afraid of water though! Our other dog wasn’t too excited. Otherwise, great location, lots of fun, and a great Christmas Day bonding with my pup. Loved it!

    Love Rosie’s Beach

    Great space for
Dogs to run. All the dogs that were there were friendly and welcoming. There are poop bags for those that don’t bring their own. I would have rated this place 5 bones but there isn’t any fresh water close by so being your own.

    great beach

Smallish dog beach. But all the dogs appeared to be having a great time. My dogs both always enjoy coming here.

    So Much Fun

This beach exceeded my expectations. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of people sun bathing with their dogs, kids playing in the water and dogs running around the waves. The place had all types of dogs and majority of the people were really friendly.

    ADVICE:
Make sure to bring your own bags as I did not see any waste stations by the area. I read one of the reviews saying how small it was and I'm not sure what that person was talking about because the designated area for dogs is large enough to find your own spot to lay with your pup and catch some
    rays.

There's plenty of metered parking available but you can find free street parking in the residential streets. After a day at the beach you can take a short walk or drive to Belmont Shore and enjoy a nice meal and a drink at one of the patio bars with your furry kid.

    Too small !!!

This area is a joke. Way too small and constantly policed. No fun.

    Too Small

This beach was great because it was full of very friendly pups of all shapes, sizes, and ages. All the dogs were happy & friendly. The only thing I really didn't like about it was that there was only a "section" of the beach marked by big orange cones that was only lease free, I would say that the are for the leash free zone was NO BIGGER then a football field. Too small of an are for SO many people on a Saturday. Dogs were running into people left and right because of where they were sitting or walking. What also irritated me was that one of the lifeguards came up to us on the beach and told us we needed to stay in the "cone section" when we were probably no more then 20 feet away from the section. Also if you want to park closer to the beach the parking was $12 dollars no matter how long you were there for the day. Off street parking was available but only if spots were open, and that was very likely because it was super busy when we went. The beach was close enough to shops & restaurants though. No close drinking fountains either & when we got to them they didn't even work.

    Beach lover

Nice change for dogs! Some people seem to forget they have dog there which is slightly disappionted as they DO need to be supervised otherwise there would be no more dog friendly park or beach etc. to the post above - who cares if there was 1 or 8 pitbull there! Dogs are dogs that need to be treat equal as long as the owners supervise them!

    Love the Rosie's Dog Zone!

I love the LB dog beach. I go there almost every weekend. The weather is gorgeous and view is amazing. It's not only great for your dog, but for yourself to relax as well. Most of the dogs are well behaved and owners are friendly. People cleans after their dogs, so sandy beach is clean.

Ok - wish people followed the posted rules

Was excited to head over to this beach - first time for the beagle. Have to say that not everyone follows the rules - several people brought multiple dogs (including 1 man who brought 2 pit bulls), others did not really watch their dogs as they got aggressive with other dogs. However, once we decided to sit on the far side of the beach our dog was not picked on (and we weren't trampled by other people's dogs). If you have a submissive dog, this is not the beach for you. Would like to see the rules followed by all attending - no aggressive dogs and 1 dog/person; but would visit again. The morning was the best time to go (less dogs) with the more aggressive dogs coming out in the evening. Bring fresh water for your dog as there are no close fountains.
