    Nice Park

As others said it's not huge, but it's large enough. There is a decent amount of grass and lots of shade trees so it's not all dirt like some dog parks. We would certainly go back. The dogs and people were friendly.

    Best Dog Park Around!

10 acres of dog heaven. It may not be the biggest park around (10 acres), in my opinion, it's the best. I'm literally there every day. 2 days ago, Christmas day, I was there before my family woke up to open gifts.

For the most part, both the dogs and the people are great. Yes, occasionally there are issues, but anywhere there are dogs or people, it wont be perfect. No dog park is. But this one is darn close. Compared to some of the larger dog parks, this one doesn't have any problems with dog walkers. At some parks, you might find 10 or 20 dogs to 1 dog walker. You can imagine what can happen.

This is a pretty close knit group of dog owners as well. I'm part of the morning group. We even have breakfast get togethers, and more recently Christmas parties. Come join the French Lake family. Unless you're one of those bad dog owners, then go to one of those other parks. ;)

    Love this Dog Park

Huge park. Most people follow the rules and keep their dogs with in calling distance. great walking trail. lots of benches to have a pic-nick with your pet. lost of shade and water dishes ever where for your pet to drink. Lots of fun for the whole family including the furry ones

No actual lake, but nice park!

Unfortunately there isn't an actual lake here, at least not one that we could find. But really nice big fenced in Park area, and an area separate for small dogs. Lots of shade, great for hot days. Their poo bags are scented and nice quality!

i could be a great park.

unfortunately my pug is harassed by bigger, and nasty tempered dogs routinely. theres several owners that think its fun to let their dogs go after smaller ones. the funny part is those same owners don't clean up their dogs messes. if theres an attack on a small dog. your on your own.police say they will respond but don't. I carry a 3/4" steel ladder rung in my pocket when I take my pugs. even then. there are the scumbags .

    average size

Compared to Ft. Steilacoom DP at 30+ acres, this is small. Compared to Wapato DB in Tacoma, it is decent.

    Howling good park

This is my German Shepherds favorite park with mostly good patrons. Lots of sand and shade in the summer. Best we've visited locally.

    Great Park!

I love this place! 10 acres of whatever your dog can imagine! It's an old golf course so, there are hills, trees, sand pits for digging... It's fully fenced with a super tall (8 ft.?) chain link fence. There are bag stations everywhere, lots of pups to socialize with and so much room to run.

    Chase's Choice

My dog Chase loves French Lake! Today was our first visit (11/25/2012). There were a lot of other dogs to play with and a lot of trees for Chase to look for squirrels in. There are trash cans evenly spaced around the park, so if your dog goes, you don't have to go to the other end of the park to through it out. Alittle muddy this time of year, but my dog loved that part, haha.

    Biggest Fenced Park

I disagree with Janelle, 10 fenced acres is massive compared to the others in Washington. The pond has an access fence, dog drinking fountain and bags throughout the property. French Lake used to be a 9 hole golf course now its my dogs favorite place to go. It has been updated within the past 2 years and features a separate fenced area for smaller and anti social dogs. I have been going to this park for 7 years and to this day it is very clique orientated. Most of the people are responsible and kind with occasional scum bags like any other park. This park has towering Pines with 4 sand boxes throughout. Best I have seen in WA to date.

    Frnch Lake Dog Park

This is a great fully fenced park if your dog loves to run! Its is big, has both shade and sun. There are seating areas and a port a potty for the owners. Supplies dog poo bags and water bowls. Good park for large and small dogs.

French Lake is great for the dogs!

It is a smaller dog park but clean and totally fenced to provide a nice off-leash park for the dogs. Bags are provided and there are water dishes throughout the property.
