Beautiful and serene location
Dog Park at Hollinshead ParkThis is one of the nicest dog parks I’ve visited. It’s not fully fenced, which usually makes me anxious but it’s so vast that it was easy to manage. There’s a tap for fresh water near the parking lot, plenty of shade, poop bags, frequently emptied trash cans, and great grass. The best part is the topography. There’s a rocky outcropping to climb and rolling terrain. Walk up the hill into the leashed area to find a small canal for some water play.
Fantastic view!
Dog Park at Luuwit View ParkThis park is set on a hill with varied topography and public art, so it’s interesting to explore. From the dog run, you can see Mt. St. Helens and the Cascade range. The run is fully fenced, with a large grassy area and a smaller section with hard packed sand. There isn’t much shade except when the sun is very low, but there are water spigots at each end of the park and a bunch of chairs. We were there early in the morning and enjoyed hearing lots of songbirds.
Correct address is 950 Perozzi St
Hald/Strawberry ParkI had a hard tim finding this park because the address listed is no longer accurate. Fortunately, I saw a kind person with a dog who directed me to 950 Perozzi Street, where there’s a parking lot just for the dog park. it was worth the effort! Gorgeous views, huge fenced area, water tubs, loaner toys, water dishes, picnic tables and chairs, even a sheltered area for the humans on rainy days. People seem nice too.
Worth the detour
Benton Dog Parkthis is a little ways off the highway, but we were glad that we made the detour. it’s a large fully fenced area with great views and good facilities: water, wading pools, loaner balls and Chuck-its. we had a great time!
