Ironton Rail-Trail

The Ironton Rail-Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Coplay! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Ironton Rail-Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. For more detailed trail information, please visit TrailLink.com. Caution required

With the change in seasons also bring change in the people you will find on the trail. Caution needs to be taken in less populated areas due to teenage boys lurking and attempting to expose themselves to females. I walk the trail on a daily basis and have been approached by one such individual. I contacted the police and pressed charges. Unfortunately, he was 17 years old with a grandparent that could have cared less except for the fine he received from the police department. I have since altered my walking pattern to avoid areas of the trail that are secluded and/or less populated.
