Eagles Spur Rail-Trail

The Eagles Spur Rail-Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Durham! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the Eagles Spur Rail-Trail. Great Trail to bring your Dog

Make sure to know the previous few days weather. Since its low-lands, it can be somewhat swampy if its rained for a few days. Thats only in a couple areas though, The only other thing is that parking is kind of sketchy. Its right off the road, so you will be parking in the dirt of a windy road. Other than that, its a great place to take your pup.
