The Florence Rail Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Florence! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Florence Rail Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. For more detailed trail information, please visit TrailLink.com.

    Get Outdoors!

I took my dog here every day when I lived in Florence. I loved all of the natural elements to take in. The boardwalk is also awesome!

take a buddy! not always safe !

Unless there is a lot of people jogging or walking don’t go alone ! Homeless people do stay out in woods and I myself have come across someone on drugs staying in the woods and thankfully my husband and two guard dogs were with us. The guy was seriously on something and we left immediately and don’t go to late in evening or to early in morning . Make sure you have witnesses around you to insure your safety. Remember safety in numbers . Also watch out for snakes they do frequent the rail trail.
