it is about 3 miles return, from the very beginning. Nice flat surface. easy walk. lots of things for fur babies to see and sniff. it is a popular walk - so it can get busy.

worth the stop.

There are plenty of things for a curious dog to check out along the boardwalk. A handful of thoughtful shops put out water bowls for dogs. As you get closer to the lighthouse, pups can enjoy a good sniff while they get splashed by the waves.

Nights are very busy during the summer. Great place to socialize and meet friendly people/dogs. Also a great place to practice and test training. Can be a high distraction environment with all the smells, people, some other dogs, depending on the time of day. Plenty of benches to relax and grassy areas to play in. There is a splash pad although I am not sure whether it is pet friendly. There are some shops along the boardwalk as well. It's a nice 3 ish mile round trip if you walk the whole thing. Mornings usually have quite a few joggers. It's a very nice, paved, flat boardwalk with grass on one side and the grand river channel on the other.
