Saginaw Valley Rail-Trail

The Saginaw Valley Rail-Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Saginaw! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Saginaw Valley Rail-Trail.     it'll get the job done

    There's a couple small pavilions you can rest in shade as well as a couple of benches that may be shaded foliage permitting. a couple of trash cans along the paved path also. You can expect to carry your dogs waste up to 3 miles or so if you're unlucky. If you are looking for a close place to build up your dogs paw toughness and distance that will work out for you because it's a straight out and back so you can decide whatever length you want. water and toilets available in the middle during warm season. porta john at the north east end.
